This Laguiole en Aubrac Origin Concorde Black L0112AFI/SSI1 knife handcrafted with steel from the famous Concorde Aircraft. The traditional Laguiole shape is native to the Aveyron village of the same name. The Laguiole knives are distinguished by their characteristic curved shape. The bolsters are made of stainless steel.
The blade is made from Sandvik 12C27 steel. This is a popular stainless steel that is easy to sharpen. The handle is made from dark buffalo horn. This is a very strong material that has long been used for tool handles. It is still used today not only because it is very hard, but primarily because it looks beautiful. Furthermore this folder opens by using both hands. The slip joint design holds the blade in place. This is not a true lock, merely some resistance to keep the knife from closing.
Laguiole en Aubrac knives are made with love. The handle of this classic French pocket knife features the signature Laguiole bee. The spine of the blade, the spring on the back of the handle, and the liners are all beautifully decorated. This handmade pocket knife has a slender appearance. Because of the manual craftsmanship and the natural materials used, each pocket knife is unique.
